Ilta alkoi verhoutua hämäryyden harsoon atriumissa, ja retkikunnan oli aika siirtyä lämpimään. Sahramileivän tuoksu, joka vielä hetki sitten täytti ilman, oli leijaillut kauemmas, ja vain uuninlämmittäjät jäivät pitämään yllä hehkuvaa lämpöä suurissa uuneissa. Tekstitaiteilijoiden suuresti suosima keidas avasi ovensa ja rytmi ei tauonnut kertaakaan.
Retkikunta keräsi kantamuksensa ja askelsi vain pienen matkan keitaalle, jossa rytmi sykki sydämen lailla ja kupliva juoma virtasi edelleen kuin Jyrävä, tuo pohjoisen pauhaava vesiputous.
