Palestine Book Club: Rashid Khalidi – The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine

Palestine Book Club in Helsinki!

Sumud is excited to announce the start of the Helsinki chapter's own book club this autumn and explore Palestine through literature.

No matter your level of experience, everyone is welcome to the book club. Each session includes a brief introduction of the book, followed by an open discussion in English. You are welcome to join the discussion even if you haven’t read the book.

💌We warmly invite you to the second gathering of the Palestine Bookclub in Helsinki on Saturday 23.11. 5-7 PM. 

 📕We are reading The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine by Rashid Khalidi. The book was published also in Finnish this year (Palestiina - Sata vuotta asuttajakolonialismia ja vastarintaa 1917-2017). 

 📘Rashid Khalidi uses extensive research and their own family history in order to offer new perspective and context on Palestine and the over hundred year history of settler colonialism. 

 📗The book club will be hosted by Khalid Dader, a researcher from the Tampere University Palestine research group. Book club language will be English.
